Direct replacement for Dell Precision M6600

This CMOS battery restores the real-time clock and BIOS settings on the Dell Precision M6600 mobile workstation. It is a lithium coin cell intended for the motherboard, not the main laptop battery. The unit arrives new and tested, ready to replace a depleted or faulty original.

Verify motherboard battery type before ordering

Confirm that your Precision M6600 requires a standard lithium CMOS cell by checking the existing battery markings or the service manual. This part is not a main power pack and will not charge the laptop or extend runtime. Ensure you are comfortable accessing the motherboard compartment for installation.

Maintains clock and CMOS data under continuous use

The lithium chemistry provides stable voltage for long-term retention of system time and firmware configuration while the notebook is powered off. It is designed for the low, steady drain of the RTC circuit rather than high-current bursts. Regular operation keeps BIOS parameters intact across extended shutdown periods.
