DBTLAP CMOS Battery for ThinkPad Edge 15

This DBTLAP lithium CMOS battery replaces the BIOS RTC cell on a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 inch laptop motherboard. It is a new component tested before shipping to restore system time and firmware settings. The package includes one battery.

Suitable for owners fixing a dead CMOS cell

Fits users who need to replace a faulty, cracked or broken RTC battery on the specified ThinkPad model. Not for buyers looking for a main laptop power battery or those repairing a different notebook series.

Lithium coin cell restores BIOS clock and settings

The lithium chemistry provides the steady low current required to keep the real-time clock running and CMOS memory powered while the laptop is off. A fresh cell eliminates startup date errors and configuration loss.

Questions about this item

What laptop model does this CMOS battery fit?

This battery is made for the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 inch series.

Will it work if my motherboard uses a soldered RTC cell instead of a removable one?

The part is a removable coin cell, so it only fits boards that have a standard holder for this type of battery.

How can I confirm the replacement is working after I install it?

After fitting the cell, power on the machine and check that the BIOS keeps the correct date and time through a full shutdown cycle.
