DBTLAP CMOS Battery for Sony VAIO VGN-BX196VP

This lithium CMOS battery replaces the BIOS RTC cell on the Sony VAIO VGN-BX196VP motherboard. It restores system clock and BIOS settings when the original coin cell fails. The part is new and tested before shipping. It is not a main laptop battery.

Check connector and board layout before ordering

Verify that the motherboard uses a standard CMOS coin-cell socket and that the existing battery matches the physical dimensions. This item is for laptop motherboards only, not for main power packs. Confirm the model number VGN-BX196VP on the chassis label.

Holds BIOS settings during long power-off periods

The lithium chemistry maintains the real-time clock and CMOS memory for years without mains power. It is designed for continuous low-drain operation rather than high-current bursts. Replace when the system clock drifts or BIOS defaults reappear after shutdown.

A fresh lithium CMOS cell typically powers the real-time clock and BIOS settings for several years under normal use.
