Compatible Sony Vaio VGN-TZ180N/RC CMOS Battery

This DBTLAP lithium CMOS battery replaces the original RTC cell on the Sony Vaio VGN-TZ180N/RC motherboard. It restores BIOS settings and system time when the existing coin cell is exhausted. The unit is tested before shipping and arrives new in a single-unit package.

Motherboard Connector and Polarity Check

Verify that the motherboard uses a two-wire coin-cell connector with the same pin spacing and polarity as the original part. Confirm the battery compartment accepts a standard lithium coin cell before ordering. This item is a motherboard CMOS battery only, not a main laptop power pack.

Steady Time-Keeping Under Continuous Operation

The lithium chemistry provides stable voltage for the real-time clock during long periods of mains power or sleep states. It maintains CMOS data without the voltage sag seen in aged cells. The battery is not designed for high-drain loads or as a primary power source.
