Replacement cooling fan kit

This kit provides two new DC 5V cooling fans built for the HP ENVY 17X series with part numbers M45787-001 and M45788-001. It is intended for owners who need to replace worn or failed internal fans in those specific laptops. Each unit is tested before shipping to confirm operation.

Suitable for direct fan replacement

The package suits repairers or owners ready to swap the original cooling assembly in the listed ENVY 17X models. It is not for buyers who want an external cooling pad, a single fan instead of the pair, or a fan for any other laptop series or part number.

Dual-fan set for HP ENVY 17X TPN-W148

The decisive specification is the inclusion of two matched DC 5V fans that correspond to the HP ENVY 17X TPN-W148 chassis and the M45787-001 or M45788-001 part numbers. Verifying that your device uses one of those exact part numbers confirms compatibility.

Questions about this item

Will this fan fit my HP ENVY 17X TPN-W148 without changing the heatsink or motherboard?

The fan is built for the HP ENVY 17X TPN-W148 using part numbers M45787-001 and M45788-001, so it mounts to the existing screw points and connects to the original 5 V header without any chassis modification.

How can I confirm the DC 5 V fan is spinning correctly after I install it?

Power on the laptop and listen for the two fans running; you should feel steady airflow from the exhaust vents and see the fan speed reported in the BIOS hardware monitor or a Windows utility such as HWMonitor.

What exactly ships in the box and do I need to buy any screws, cables or thermal paste separately?

The package contains two DC 5 V cooling fans only; mounting screws, the power cable and thermal compound are not included, so reuse the original hardware from your HP ENVY 17X or purchase them separately.
