ThinkPad X280 replacement cooler

This new fan and heatsink assembly is built as a direct replacement for the ThinkPad X280 laptop. It restores factory cooling performance when the original unit fails or becomes noisy. The part carries FRU numbers 01LX665 and 01LX666.

Verify FRU and photos before ordering

Check the FRU label on your existing cooler to confirm it matches 01LX665 or 01LX666. Compare the product photographs with your current fan and heatsink layout, connector type and screw positions. If you are uncertain, provide your laptop model number to the seller for a compatibility check. Each unit is tested before it ships.

For X280 owners needing a tested spare

This cooler suits anyone repairing a ThinkPad X280 with a worn or faulty thermal module. It is not for users of other ThinkPad models or different laptop brands, as the mounting and connector will not align. Buyers who cannot confirm the FRU match should look elsewhere.
