Replacement CPU Cooler for Latitude 5401

This new cooling fan replaces the original thermal module in Dell Latitude 5401 and E5401 laptops. It matches part numbers 0YX3WM and EG50060S1-C400-S9A for direct compatibility. The single-fan assembly is tested before shipping to ensure reliable operation. Installers should verify the photos against the existing cooler before fitting.

Capacity and Headroom for Thermal Loads

The cooler handles the heat output of the Latitude 5401 processor under normal workloads such as office applications and web browsing. Sustained heavy compute tasks may push the single-fan design beyond its comfort zone. Systems running intensive workloads for long periods will see higher temperatures. The unit is intended as a like-for-like replacement, not an upgrade path.

Thermals, Noise and Power Draw in Use

Under typical office loads the fan runs at low speed and stays quiet. Increased processor demand raises fan speed and audible airflow noise. Power draw remains minimal, sourced from the laptop's own fan header. Each unit is tested before dispatch to confirm correct spin-up and thermal response.

Questions about this item

Will this CPU cooler fan fit my existing Dell Latitude 5401 or E5401 motherboard and heatsink assembly?

This fan is made for the Dell Latitude 5401 and E5401 models and matches part number EG50060S1-C400-S9A; compare the connector and screw holes to your original unit before fitting.

How can I verify the fan is spinning correctly after I install it in the laptop?

Power on the system and listen for the fan to start; the BIOS hardware monitor should report a valid RPM reading and temperatures should drop under load.

What exactly is included in the package and do I need any extra parts to complete the replacement?

The box contains one CPU cooler fan only; thermal paste, mounting screws and any tools are not supplied and must be sourced separately.
