Direct replacement for Dell XPS 8950

This new DBTLAP heat sink with integrated fan is built specifically for the Dell XPS 8950 desktop. It serves as a direct replacement when the original cooler fails or runs too loud. Buyers who need a cooler for a different chassis or a higher thermal limit should look elsewhere.

125 W rated thermal capacity

The unit is rated to dissipate up to 125 W of processor heat, matching the spec cited in the part number 0C253W. It will handle typical office and home workloads comfortably. Sustained loads well above that rating will exceed its cooling ability.

Tested fan and heatsink assembly

Each cooler is tested before shipping to verify the fan spins and the heatsink transfers heat. In normal use the fan runs at the speed the motherboard commands, keeping noise proportional to load. No additional power adapters or control cables are required.

Questions about this item

Will the 125W cooler fit inside my existing Dell XPS 8950 case alongside the current motherboard layout?

The cooler is built specifically for the Dell XPS 8950 chassis and mounts directly to the original CPU socket holes, so it aligns with the stock motherboard keep-out zones.

How can I verify the 0C253W fan is spinning at the correct speed after I install it?

Enter the system BIOS or use Dell SupportAssist to view the real-time CPU fan RPM; it should report a steady value that rises smoothly as the processor load increases.

The box lists only one fan — do I need to buy thermal paste or mounting screws separately?

The package contains the fan-and-heatsink assembly only; fresh thermal compound and any replacement screws are not included and must be sourced separately.
