Replacement CPU Fan for HP Pavilion M3-U

This new DBTLAP cooling fan carries part number 855966-001 and is built for HP Pavilion M3-U, M3-u001dx and M3-u003dx laptops. It replaces a worn or noisy original cooler so the processor stays within thermal limits. Buyers who need a different form factor or a universal external pad cannot use this part.

Fits inside the existing chassis

The fan mounts directly into the laptop’s native cooling assembly using the original screw points and connector. No extra brackets, adapters or external power are required. Builders who want a drop-in cooler for another model or a supplemental USB-powered pad will find this unit incompatible.

Single fan in the package

The box contains 1 x fan and nothing else; thermal paste, tools or mounting hardware are not supplied. Each unit is tested before shipping and the supplier advises checking the product photos against the old part to confirm 100% compatibility. Users who expect a complete service kit must source paste and screws separately.

Questions about this item

What thermal limit appears first when the 855966-001 fan runs continuously under load?

The fan is designed to keep the CPU within its normal operating temperature range during sustained use, preventing the thermal throttle point from being reached.

How much noise and heat does the 855966-001 produce during all-day operation?

The replacement fan runs at the same acoustic and thermal profile as the original HP part, so daily noise and case temperatures stay consistent with factory levels.

Which existing laptop component must be present for the 855966-001 to install and function?

The cooler mounts directly to the existing heatsink assembly in HP Pavilion M3-U, M3-u001dx and M3-u003dx models, so that heatsink must be intact.
