Compatible Replacement Fan

This new DBTLAP cooling fan is built for Dell Inspiron 5590 and 5490 laptops using part numbers 0M638T or M638T. It arrives as a single tested unit ready for installation. Buyers who need a fan for a different Dell model or a complete cooling assembly with heatsink should look elsewhere.

Direct-Fit Installation Constraint

The fan matches the original mounting points and connector for the listed Inspiron models only. Compatibility depends on an exact part-number match; no universal bracket or adapter is included. Technicians who cannot verify the part number against the old fan risk ordering a part that will not fit.

Upgrade From Failed Original

This unit replaces a noisy, stalled or overheating stock fan in the same chassis. The jump is worthwhile when the laptop throttles or shuts down under load and the original part number is confirmed. Users seeking quieter operation without a confirmed fault will not notice a difference.
