Replacement CPU Fan for HP EliteBook 745 755 840

This new cooling fan replaces the original CPU cooler in HP EliteBook 745 755 840 848 G3 G4 MT42 MT43 laptops. It matches part numbers 821163-001 and EG50050S1-C710-S9A. The package contains one fan unit. Buyers who need a complete heatsink assembly or thermal pads should look elsewhere.

Tested Cooling Performance for Sustained Operation

Each fan is tested before shipping to verify reliable airflow under continuous load. It maintains stable CPU temperatures during extended work sessions. The direct-fit design ensures proper seating on the motherboard without modification. Units that require higher airflow than a single fan provides will not be satisfied.

Exact Part-Number Compatibility Decides Fit

Compatibility depends on matching your laptop model and the original part number exactly. Verify the part number 821163-001 or EG50050S1-C710-S9A against your current fan before ordering. Photos of the real item are provided for visual confirmation. Systems outside the listed EliteBook series cannot use this fan.

Questions about this item

How loud is the EG50050S1-C710-S9A fan when the EliteBook 840 G4 runs at full load all day?

The replacement fan is tested before shipping to match the original cooling profile, so noise stays at the level HP specified for the 840 G4 chassis.

Which connector must the motherboard provide for the 821163-001 fan to plug in?

The fan uses the standard 4-pin PWM header found on EliteBook 745, 755, 840 and 848 G3 or G4 mainboards.

Will the MT42 fan fit alongside the existing heatsink screws on an EliteBook 755 G3?

Yes, the mounting holes align with the original heatsink pattern used on the 755 G3, so the original screws secure it directly.
