Questions about this item

Does the 5V 0.5A fan require any lubrication or bearing replacement over time?

The replacement fan is a sealed unit tested before shipping; no user lubrication or bearing service is specified, so plan to swap the whole fan if airflow drops.

What thermal limit stops the 5V 0.5A fan from running continuously in an HP 17-BY chassis?

The fan draws 0.5 A at 5 V and is rated for constant operation inside the listed HP models; the system firmware throttles the CPU before the fan hits its thermal ceiling.

How loud is the 5V 0.5A cooling fan when it runs all day in an HP 470 G7?

The supplier only confirms 5 V 0.5 A power draw and compatibility with the HP 470 G7; no acoustic or surface-temperature figures are published for continuous duty.
