Straightforward swap with careful part matching

Installation involves opening the laptop chassis and replacing the original fan with this unit; the process is a direct swap when the part numbers align. The supplier advises checking the product photos against the old fan and confirming the exact model number before ordering to avoid mismatches. Each unit is tested before shipping to reduce the chance of a defective part.

Limited to specific 13-inch Retina models

This fan fits only the 13 inch MacBook Pro Retina A1425 from 2012 and 2013; it will not fit other screen sizes, non-Retina models or later generations. Buyers needing a cooler for a different MacBook series or a dual-fan assembly cannot use this part. No other compatibility is implied or supported.
