Replacement CPU fan for Lenovo L450 L460

This new cooling fan replaces the original SUNON EG50050S1-C920-S9A unit in Lenovo L450 and L460 laptops. It runs on 5 V DC and draws 2.25 W through a five-pin connector. The package contains one fan that has been tested before shipping.

Upgrades a worn or noisy original cooler

The part directly substitutes FRU 01AW251 and FRU 01AW252 when the factory fan fails, rattles or no longer spins at full speed. Swapping it restores the thermal performance the system was designed for without modifying the heatsink or motherboard.

Verify the exact part number before ordering

Compare the photos with the fan currently installed to confirm the connector layout and mounting holes match. If the model number on your existing cooler differs, the replacement will not fit; contact the seller with your laptop model number for a compatibility check.

Questions about this item

Will the SUNON EG50050S1-C920-S9A fan fit my Lenovo L450 or L460 without modification?

The fan is built to match the original FRU 01AW251 and 01AW252 used in the Lenovo L450 and L460, so it installs in the existing mounting points.

What is the common mistake when installing this 5-pin DC5V fan?

Buyers often connect the 5-pin header without confirming the pin-out matches the motherboard, causing the fan to run at full speed or not start.

How long before the SUNON EG50050S1-C920-S9A needs replacement under normal use?

Each unit is tested before shipping, but laptop CPU fans typically last several years; replace it when noise increases or temperatures rise.
