Server CPU Heatsink for PowerEdge R7425

This new heatsink is built for the PowerEdge R7425 server platform and carries part number 0GDYH1. It replaces the original CPU cooler in compatible Dell servers and includes one fan for direct processor cooling. The unit arrives tested and ready for installation in a matching chassis.

Suited for R7425 maintenance

Technicians servicing a PowerEdge R7425 who have verified the 0GDYH1 part number against their existing cooler will find a direct fit. Builders working on different server models or desktop platforms should look elsewhere because the mounting pattern and airflow path are specific to this chassis.

Tested fan delivers steady airflow under load

Each unit is tested before shipping to confirm the fan spins correctly and moves air across the heatsink fins. Under sustained server workloads the cooler maintains thermal contact with the CPU socket without relying on short-burst performance claims. Compatibility depends on matching the exact part number shown in the product photos.

Questions about this item

What server model must I already have for the 0GDYH1 heatsink to fit?

It is built for the PowerEdge R7425 chassis, so that server must be in place before installation.

Will the 0GDYH1 heatsink work if I keep the original mounting hardware from my R7425?

Yes, the heatsink uses the existing R7425 retention brackets and screw pattern, so the original hardware remains compatible.

How can I confirm the 0GDYH1 heatsink is operating correctly after I install it?

The included fan should spin up immediately on power-on and the server POST should report normal CPU temperatures.
