HP ProBook G8 Replacement Fan

This new DBTLAP CPU cooler replaces part EG5005S01-CG90-S9A inside HP ProBook 440, 450, 455 and 650 G8 laptops. It is a direct swap for the original HSN-027C-4/5 fan assembly. The package contains one tested fan unit ready for installation.

For owners of listed ProBook models only

This cooler suits technicians or owners repairing a ProBook 440, 450, 455 or 650 G8 with the exact part number EG5005S01-CG90-S9A. It will not fit other HP series, other ProBook generations or any laptop using a different fan connector or mounting layout. Buyers needing a universal cooling pad or a fan for a different chassis should look elsewhere.

Part number EG5005S01-CG90-S9A confirms fit

The single specification that decides compatibility is the manufacturer part number EG5005S01-CG90-S9A stamped on the original fan. Match this code against the label on your existing cooler before ordering; a different number means the connector, screw holes or airflow direction will not align.

Questions about this item

Will the EG5005S01-CG90-S9A fan need bearing lubrication or a full swap after long daily use?

The fan is a sealed unit; when airflow drops or noise rises, replace the whole fan rather than servicing internals.

What limit appears first when the HSN-027C-4/5 fan runs continuously in a ProBook 440 450 455 650 G8?

Thermal throttle of the CPU triggers before the fan reaches its maximum rated speed.

How loud and hot does the EG5005S01-CG90-S9A get during an all-day workload?

Expect a low hum at idle and moderate warmth near the exhaust; sustained loads raise both but stay within normal laptop ranges.
