Each unit is tested before shipping to ensure it works correctly. Buyers who need a fan for a different laptop series cannot use this part.

Sustained Cooling Performance

The fan maintains steady airflow during extended sessions so the processor stays within its thermal envelope. It replaces the original cooler used in the listed netbooks without requiring modifications. Systems that demand higher static pressure than the original design provides will not be served by this unit.

Thermals, Noise and Power

Normal operation keeps the netbook at typical temperatures with low acoustic output. Power draw matches the original specification so battery life is unaffected. Builders who need a higher-capacity cooler for overclocked configurations should look elsewhere.

How loud is the fan when it runs continuously inside an Asus EEE PC 1001?

The supplier tests each unit before shipping so the fan operates at its intended speed and noise level for the listed EEE PC models.

What must I already have to install this cooling fan in my laptop?

You need a compatible Asus EEE PC chassis (1001, 1005 or 1008 series) and the original mounting screws to secure the replacement fan.

Will this fan fit alongside the original heatsink in an Asus 1005PX?

Yes, it is built to the MF40070V1-Q000-S99 form factor used in the 1005PX and other listed models, so it aligns with the existing heatsink.
