Replacement CPU and GPU Cooling Fan

This new cooling fan serves as a direct replacement for the CPU and GPU thermal module in compatible laptops. It is intended for owners of specific Dell models who need to restore original cooling performance. The package includes one tested fan unit ready for installation.

Installation and Common Issues

Installation requires disassembling the laptop to access the heatsink assembly, so basic technical skill and appropriate tools are necessary. The most frequent problem is ordering a fan that looks similar but has a different connector or mounting layout. Verifying the part number against the original component prevents this mismatch.

Compatibility Checks Before Ordering

Before purchasing, remove the existing fan and confirm the part number matches 0FMDW0000H, DQ5D577E000, 0FMDV0000H or DQ5D577E002 exactly. Compare the product photographs with your current unit to ensure the connector type, screw positions and cable length are identical. If the numbers differ, this fan will not fit your system.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 0FMDW0000H DQ5D577E000 fan is working after installation?

After fitting the fan, power on the laptop and listen for the fan spinning; then watch the CPU and GPU temperatures drop under load to verify cooling performance.

What comes in the package and is anything else needed?

The box contains 1 x Fan only; no screws, thermal pads or cables are included, so reuse the original fixings from the old cooler.

Which part number should I choose between 0FMDW0000H DQ5D577E000 and 0FMDV0000H DQ5D577E002?

Match the exact code printed on your current cooler — 0FMDW0000H DQ5D577E000 or 0FMDV0000H DQ5D577E002 — because the two versions are not interchangeable.
