DBTLAP Cooling Fan for HP EliteBook x360 1040 G6

This replacement cooling fan is designed for the HP EliteBook x360 1040 G6 equipped with an i5-8265U processor. It serves owners who need to replace a worn or noisy original cooler. The package includes two fans to service both the CPU and GPU thermal zones. Buyers requiring a universal external cooling pad should look elsewhere.

Two-fan kit handles CPU and GPU heat

The twin-fan assembly targets the processor and graphics thermal zones simultaneously. It provides the airflow intended by the original design for sustained workloads. If a single fan has failed, this kit restores the balanced cooling profile. Systems with different thermal layouts or a single-fan design cannot use this kit.

Exact compatibility with i5-8265U model

Fitment is limited to the HP EliteBook x360 1040 G6 configured with the i5-8265U processor. Verify the part visually against the product photos before ordering. Other EliteBook models, including different 1040 G6 CPU configurations, are not supported. No alternative part numbers are referenced for this assembly.

Questions about this item

Will this fan assembly fit the existing heatsink and screw layout of my HP EliteBook x360 1040 G6 with the i5-8265U?

The fans are built specifically for the EliteBook x360 1040 G6 i5-8265U, matching the original mounting points and connector. Compare the product photos with your current cooler before fitting.

How can I verify the fans are spinning correctly once installed?

After reassembly, power on the laptop and listen for airflow from the vents; fan speed should rise under load. Each unit is tested before shipping to confirm operation.

Does the package include thermal pads, screws or a heatsink, or just the two fans?

The box contains two cooling fans only. Thermal pads, mounting screws and the heatsink block must be reused from the original assembly or sourced separately.
