Compatible Laptop Models

This replacement GPU cooling fan fits the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 16IRH8 and related 2023 chassis including Y7000P, R7000P and APH8 variants. It is intended for owners who need to service the discrete graphics thermal module on those specific machines.

Thermals Noise And Power Draw

The single fan assembly is tested before shipping to confirm it spins freely and moves air through the GPU heatsink at the original specification. No power consumption, acoustic or airflow figures are supplied by the manufacturer.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous graphics workloads the fan maintains the designed airflow path for the GPU heat pipes without additional speed curves or control features documented in the data. Buyers who need a complete cooling assembly including heat pipes or a dual-fan module cannot use this part alone.

Questions about this item

How do I install the GPU cooling fan in my Lenovo Legion Slim 5 16IRH8, and what step is often missed?

Remove the bottom cover, disconnect the old fan cable, replace the fan, then reconnect the cable securely; the step often missed is verifying the part number DFSCL12E064861 matches your original before fitting.

What maintenance or replacement will this fan need later?

The fan is a sealed unit with no user-serviceable bearings; when airflow drops or noise rises, replace the whole fan — no lubrication or partial repair is possible.

What limit appears first when the fan runs continuously under heavy GPU load?

The 100 % duty-cycle ceiling is reached first; beyond that the fan cannot spin faster, so GPU temperatures climb until the system throttles performance.
