Compatible Server Heatsink

This replacement heatsink is designed for Dell PowerEdge R640, R740 and R740xd servers. It targets administrators who need a direct swap for a worn or damaged CPU cooling assembly. The unit includes the fan and plastic CPU holder clip for a complete refresh.

Fits Directly Into Existing Mounting

The cooler aligns with the original screw pattern and airflow path inside the supported chassis. No bracket modifications or additional hardware are required. Installing this assembly restores proper thermal contact and frees the system from throttling caused by a failing cooler.

Handles Standard Server Workloads

The heatsink and fan combination manages the thermal output of the CPUs qualified for these platforms. It provides adequate headroom for typical virtualisation and database tasks. Sustained maximum loads in densely packed racks may exceed its dissipation capacity.
