Replacement Fan for FM9N Laptops

This new cooling fan is built for the FM9N chassis and runs on a 5 V, .5 A supply. It is intended for owners who need a direct swap for a worn or noisy original cooler. The single-unit package contains only the fan itself, so no extra brackets or cables are included. Buyers seeking a complete cooling-pad assembly with stands or USB hubs will not find those features here.

Single Fan Unit Ships Alone

The box holds one fan and nothing else, meaning installation relies entirely on the screws and connectors already present in the laptop. There is no thermal paste, no mounting hardware and no software utility bundled with the part. Anyone expecting a kit with additional accessories or a controller board will need to source those separately.

Verify Part Numbers Before Ordering

Match the DFS5K1215491F and EP DC28000F4F0 codes against the label on your existing fan to confirm 100% compatibility. Photos supplied by the supplier should be compared with the actual component in your machine before purchase. If the part numbers differ, the fan will not fit or function correctly.

Questions about this item

Will the DC 5V .5A fan need periodic bearing lubrication or a full replacement after continuous use?

The fan is a sealed DC 5V .5A unit; no user lubrication is possible, so plan on replacing the entire fan when airflow drops or noise rises.

What limit appears first when the FM9N cooling fan runs at the 28000 RPM rating for hours?

Sustained operation at 28000 RPM typically hits the motor's thermal limit first, causing the fan to throttle speed to protect the windings.

How much audible noise and heat does the DFS5K1215491F fan produce when powered all day?

At the rated .5A draw the fan runs quietly with a low whoosh and the housing stays only slightly warm to the touch during all-day use.
