Targeted replacement for Dell XPS 17 9700

This new cooling fan carries part numbers EG50050S1-CG10-S9A and 023.1001L.0012 A02 for exact fitment. It is built for owners of the Dell XPS 17 9700 who need to restore original thermal performance. Each unit is tested before shipping. Buyers who need a fan for a different laptop model cannot use this part.

Direct-fit cooler with single-fan package

The accessory type is a cooler and the box contains one fan. Matching the photos to the original component confirms connector alignment and mounting points before installation. Verifying the part number avoids fitment errors. Builders who require a dual-fan assembly or a complete cooling module with heatsinks will not find those parts here.

Restores stock cooling on a 17-inch chassis

Replacing a worn or noisy fan brings temperatures back to factory levels without modifying the laptop. The jump is worth it when the original fan spins unevenly or fails to ramp under load. Users who want higher airflow than the stock design provides should look for an external cooling pad instead.

Questions about this item

What connector does the EG50050S1-CG10-S9A fan use to attach to the Dell XPS 17 9700 motherboard?

The fan connects via the proprietary motherboard header used by the Dell XPS 17 9700; the part number EG50050S1-CG10-S9A matches that exact socket.

Does the replacement fan assembly include the mounting bracket and screws needed for the XPS 17 9700 chassis?

What is the most common mistake when installing this fan in the XPS 17 9700?

Forgetting to reconnect the fan cable to the motherboard header before reassembling the bottom cover, which leaves the system without active cooling.
