The part matches OEM numbers EG50040S1-1CO71-S9A, EG50040S1-1CO81-S9A, 6043B0302311 and M10989-001. Each unit is tested before it leaves the supplier.

Owners of the EliteBook x360 1040 G6

This fan suits owners of the exact EliteBook x360 1040 G6 model who need to replace a failing cooler. Buyers with any other HP series, different screen size or alternate chassis should look elsewhere because the mounting points and connector will not match. Always verify the part number against the original before ordering.

Direct drop-in cooler for the specified laptop

The assembly provides the cooling capacity designed for the EliteBook x360 1040 G6 thermal solution. It handles the heat load the original engineer specified for this chassis. Systems with higher-performance CPUs, discrete graphics or modified thermal designs will exceed what this single fan can dissipate.

Questions about this item

Does this heat-sink fan fit my HP EliteBook x360 1040 G6 without extra parts?

Yes, it is a direct replacement for part numbers EG50040S1-1CO71-S9A, EG50040S1-1CO81-S9A, 6043B0302311 and M10989-001; no additional brackets or cables are required.

Will the fan connector match the motherboard header on an older EliteBook x360 1040 G6?

The connector is identical to the original factory fan used in the 1040 G6, so it plugs straight into the existing header.

How can I confirm the fan is running correctly after I install it?

Power on the laptop, listen for steady airflow from the vents, and verify the fan speed appears in the BIOS hardware monitor or HP diagnostics.
