Compatible Aspire Models

This replacement cooling fan fits Acer Aspire 8730, 7740 and 7740G laptops. It is a new component designed to restore original thermal performance. The unit draws 5V and 1.15W from the system. Each item is tested before it leaves the supplier.

Who Should Buy This

Owners of the listed Aspire models needing a direct MG70130V1-Q020-S99 replacement will find the correct fit. Builders working on other Acer series or different brands should look elsewhere because the mounting and connector are model-specific. Buyers who want a complete cooling pad with a stand and USB power should choose a different product type.

Critical Part Number

The MG70130V1-Q020-S99 code is the single specification that confirms compatibility. Compare this number with the label on the original fan before ordering. A mismatch means the fan will not align or connect properly.

Questions about this item

How do I install the MG70130V1-Q020-S99 fan in my Aspire 7740 and which step is often missed?

Remove the bottom cover, disconnect the old fan cable, fit the new 5 V unit, reconnect the cable, then test before refitting the cover — the step often missed is skipping the pre-assembly test.

What maintenance will the 5 V 1.15 W cooling fan need over time?

Blow dust from the blades and vents every few months; if bearing noise appears or airflow drops, replace the MG70130V1-Q020-S99 fan as it is not serviceable.

What limit appears first when the Aspire 8730 runs a sustained load with this cooler?

The single 5 V 1.15 W fan reaches its maximum airflow and noise ceiling before the laptop chassis can dissipate more heat.
