Compatible HP 17 Series Models

This replacement cooling fan fits HP 17-CN0000, 17-CP0000 and 17-CN3000 laptops. It matches part number M50438-001 and model DFS5K12114262P-FNH8. The unit is intended for owners of those specific notebooks who need to replace a worn or noisy original cooler. Buyers with other HP series or different 17-inch chassis should verify their part number before ordering.

Direct Swap Installation

The fan operates at DC5V 0.5A and connects to the existing motherboard header inside the laptop. No external power adapter or additional mounting hardware is required beyond what the chassis already provides. Replacing the original cooler restores proper airflow without modifying the heatsink or adding bulk. Installers must be comfortable opening the laptop base and handling delicate ribbon cables.

Single Fan Replacement Unit

The package contains one cooling fan only; thermal paste, screws or tools are not included. Each unit is tested before shipping to confirm it spins correctly. The photos in the listing show the exact item you will receive, so you can compare connector orientation and bracket shape against your old part. If the part number does not match, the fan will not fit or function.
