Questions about this item

How do I install the 16Q2-CPU-CW fan in my MSI GS65 and which step is often missed?

Remove the bottom panel, disconnect the old fan cable, swap the fan, then reconnect the cable before screwing the panel back on — many forget to plug the connector in fully.

What maintenance will the 16Q2-CPU-CW fan need over time?

Blow dust out of the heatsink fins and fan blades every few months with compressed air; the bearing is sealed so no lubrication is required.

What limit appears first when the 16Q2-CPU-CW runs under sustained load?

The single fan reaches its maximum RPM and airflow capacity, so CPU temperatures stabilise at the thermal ceiling of the heatsink.
