Replacement Fan for Lenovo E42 Series

This replacement CPU cooling fan fits Lenovo E42, E42-70 and E42-80 laptop models. It is designed for owners of these specific machines who need to replace a worn or failed original cooler. Each unit is tested individually before dispatch to confirm it operates correctly.

Upgrading from a Faulty Original Cooler

The part replaces the factory-installed fan when it becomes noisy, stops spinning or no longer moves enough air to keep the processor at safe temperatures. Swapping it out restores the thermal performance the laptop was built to deliver and avoids the cost of a full system replacement.

Limits of a Model-Specific Fan

This cooler only fits the three Lenovo models listed above; it will not mount in other E-series chassis or in laptops from different manufacturers. Buyers must verify the exact part number against their original fan before ordering, as the supplier ships units from Forcecon, ADDA, Sunon or Kipo depending on stock.

Questions about this item

Does this fan match the mounting holes on my Lenovo E42-80 motherboard?

The fan is built for Lenovo E42, E42-70 and E42-80 models, so the screw pattern and connector align with those boards.

Which step do installers most often miss when fitting this fan?

Forgetting to clean old thermal paste off the CPU and heatsink before seating the new fan, which leaves air gaps and raises temperatures.

How long before the bearing in this Forcecon or Sunon fan typically needs a replacement?

Sleeve-bearing fans in this class usually run two to four years before noise or speed drop signals a swap.
