  • Replaces a faulty cooler for ASUS K42D series laptops
  • Four-pin connector matches the original motherboard header
  • Tested individually before dispatch so it works on arrival
  • Produced by Forcecon, ADDA, Sunon or Kipo depending on stock
  • Suits K42, X42D, K42DR, A40D and K42DY (AMD Inside) models

Replacement cooler for ASUS K-series

This 4-pin CPU fan is built as a direct replacement for ASUS K42D, K42, X42D, K42DR, A40D and K42DY models carrying the KSB0505HB part number. It targets owners of those AMD-based notebooks whose original cooler has failed or become noisy.

Tested single fan in the package

Each unit is tested before dispatch and ships as a single fan without extra brackets, thermal paste or mounting screws. The supplier notes that the actual manufacturer may be Forcecon, ADDA, Sunon, Kipo or another source depending on stock, so the physical label can differ from the photos.

Four-pin connector limits control options

The 4-pin PWM interface allows the motherboard to regulate speed, but the laptop BIOS determines the actual curve and minimum RPM. If the system firmware does not expose fan-profile settings, the cooler will run on the default automatic profile with no manual override.

Questions about this item

Will the 4-pin connector on this KSB0505HB cooler need a different cable later?

The fan uses a 4-pin connector that matches the original ASUS K42D, K42, X42D, K42DR, A40D and K42DY motherboards, so no adapter or replacement cable is required.

What is the first limit reached when the fan runs continuously in an ASUS K42D?

The unit is a direct-replacement cooler; its thermal limit is the laptop's own CPU throttle point, not a separate fan rating.

How much noise and heat does this Forcecon, ADDA, Sunon or Kipo built fan add during all-day use?

The replacement fan is tested to 100% function before shipping and runs at the same acoustic and thermal level as the original KSB0505HB cooler.
