Replacement Fan Set for A1297 MC226 MC227

This pair of cooling fans fits the 17" laptop models A1297, MC226 and MC227. They serve as direct replacements for the original left and right CPU and GPU fans. Each unit is tested before shipping to confirm it operates correctly. The set suits owners of those specific machines who need to restore factory cooling performance.

Dual Fan Capacity Covers CPU and GPU

Two fans are included so both the processor and graphics chip receive dedicated airflow. The design matches the original left and right mounting positions used in the listed models. Installation returns the system to its intended thermal headroom for typical workloads. If a laptop uses a different fan layout or a single fan assembly, this kit will not fit.

Upgrade From Worn or Failed Originals

The kit replaces fans that have become noisy, stopped spinning or no longer move enough air to keep temperatures in check. Swapping both sides at once avoids a mismatch in airflow between the old and new units. Buyers whose laptop uses a different chassis or a single-fan design should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will these fans fit alongside the original heatsink in my 17" A1297 MC226 or MC227?

They are built as direct replacements for the left and right CPU and GPU fans used in the 17" A1297 MC226 and MC227 models, matching the original mounting points and connector layout.

How can I verify the left and right fans are spinning correctly after installation?

Power on the laptop and listen for balanced airflow from both vent areas; fan-speed readings in macOS or a hardware monitor should show both fans reporting RPM within the normal operating range.

The box lists two fans — do I need to buy any screws, thermal pads or cables separately?

The package includes the two fans only; reuse the original mounting screws, thermal pads and cable connectors from the laptop during the swap.
