DBTLAP CPU Fan for Precision M4600

This new DBTLAP cooling fan is built as a direct replacement for the DELL Precision M4600 using part numbers 05PJ49 and 5PJ49. It targets owners of that specific mobile workstation who need to restore original thermal performance.

Replaces worn or noisy OEM cooler

The unit swaps out the original Forcecon, ADDA, Sunon or Kipo fan assembly when bearings fail or airflow drops. The upgrade is worth it once the laptop throttles under load or the old cooler develops audible rattle.

Handles sustained workloads on a single fan

One tested fan ships in the package, delivering the airflow the M4600 chassis was designed around. It covers the CPU heatsink adequately but cannot cool a second graphics module or support a dual-fan layout.

Questions about this item

Will this cooler fit the Dell Precision M4600 chassis and mounting points?

It is built to match the M4600 and part numbers 05PJ49 and 5PJ49, so the screw holes and connector align with the original heatsink assembly.

What is the tricky step when swapping the fan in the Precision M4600?

After removing the bottom cover, you must disconnect the old fan cable from the motherboard header before lifting the heatsink; forgetting this pulls the connector off the board.

When will the replacement fan need attention again?

The unit is tested before shipping and covered for nine months; after that period, monitor for rising temperatures or bearing noise as signs to replace it.
