Compatible HP Laptop Models

This replacement CPU cooler fits HP EliteBook 740, 745, 755, 840, 850 and ZBook 14 G1 G2 laptops. It is designed for owners of those specific models who need a direct drop-in fan. Builders working on other chassis or newer generations will not find a matching mount here.

Single Fan Unit Supplied

The package contains one cooling fan tested individually before dispatch. It restores stock airflow for the listed 14-inch platforms. Systems that require dual-fan assemblies or higher static pressure than the original design provides will exceed this cooler's capacity.

OEM Mounting Constraint

The cooler uses the original screw pattern and connector for the named EliteBook and ZBook 14 series. Laptops outside that exact mounting footprint cannot accept the fan without modification. No universal bracket or adapter is included for other form factors.

The fan is listed as compatible with EliteBook 740, 745, 755, 840, 850 and ZBook 14 G1 and G2 models, so it should align with the existing mounting points on your 840 G2.

How can I verify the replacement fan is spinning correctly after I install it?

Each unit is tested before shipping to ensure 100 % operation; after fitting it, listen for smooth rotation and check that the laptop’s BIOS or hardware monitor reports a stable RPM reading.

Does the package include thermal paste or mounting screws, or must I source them separately?

The box contains only 1 x Fan; thermal compound and any required screws are not included and must be obtained separately.
