A replacement CPU cooling fan for Sony VPC-SA, SB and SD series laptops with a four-pin connector
This DBTLAP CPU fan matches the KSB0705HA part number used in Sony VPC-SA SB SD PCG-41215T and PCG-41217T laptops. It connects via the original four-pin header so the motherboard retains full speed control. The unit is supplied new and individually tested before dispatch.
The four-pin interface allows the system firmware to modulate fan speed according to processor temperature. Acoustic output and power draw therefore follow the laptop’s own thermal curve rather than running at a fixed maximum. No external power adapter is required.
Each fan is bench-tested to confirm 100 per cent operation before it leaves the supplier. The component may be sourced from Forcecon ADDA Sunon Kipo or an equivalent manufacturer depending on stock, but the fit and connector remain identical to the original specification.

Disconnect the battery, remove the heatsink assembly, swap the fan, then reconnect the 4-pin cable; the step most people miss is reapplying thermal paste on the CPU and GPU dies before refitting the heatsink.
Expect to clean dust from the heatsink fins every six to twelve months with compressed air; if bearing noise or speed drop appears, replace the whole fan unit — no user-serviceable parts inside.
The thermal ceiling of the Sony VPC-SA heatsink is reached before the fan hits maximum RPM, so temperatures stabilise at the chassis limit rather than the fan’s airflow limit.
