Replacement CPU cooling fan tested for full compatibility with Toshiba Satellite L655-S5154 laptops
This DBTLAP cooling fan is built as a direct replacement for the Toshiba Satellite L655-S5154 laptop. It targets owners whose original CPU cooler has failed or become noisy. Each unit is tested before dispatch to confirm it spins and fits correctly. Buyers needing a fan for a different Satellite model or a non-Toshiba chassis should verify compatibility first.
Every fan undergoes individual testing to ensure 100 per cent functional operation prior to shipping. The cooler is designed to restore normal airflow across the processor heatsink, reducing thermal throttling during typical workloads. No acoustic or power-draw figures are supplied by the manufacturer. Units may originate from Forcecon, ADDA, Sunon, Kipo or an equivalent supplier depending on stock.
This part replaces a worn, rattling or non-spinning factory fan in the L655-S5154. The improvement is worthwhile when the original cooler no longer maintains safe CPU temperatures or produces audible bearing noise. It is not intended for users seeking higher airflow than the stock design provides, nor for laptops outside the stated model line.

Remove the bottom cover, disconnect the old fan cable from the motherboard header, unscrew the heatsink assembly, swap the fan, reapply thermal paste on the CPU and GPU, then reassemble; the step most often missed is refreshing the thermal compound.
The sleeve or ball bearings will eventually wear and the dust filter clogs; expect to clean the heatsink fins every few months and replace the fan unit once bearing noise or vibration appears.
Continuous maximum RPM operation causes the bearing temperature to rise until acoustic noise increases and long-term lubricant life shortens.
