Dell 14 Plus DB14250 laptop

This 14-inch laptop pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9-288V processor with 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB M.2 2242 SSD. The 16:10 2.5K display runs at 2560x1600 resolution. It ships with Windows 11 Home and a backlit keyboard that includes a Copilot key for AI features.

Build integration and trade-offs

The system uses soldered LPDDR5X memory, so capacity cannot be upgraded after purchase. Storage is provided by a single M.2 2242 drive, leaving no second slot for expansion without replacing the existing module. Integrated Intel Arc graphics share system memory and do not require a discrete GPU cooler.

Bundled software impact

Dell Migrate is included for six months, simplifying the transfer of personal files and settings from an old device. The Copilot+ PC designation enables on-device AI experiences within Windows 11 Home. A backlit keyboard with a dedicated Copilot key provides direct access to those AI functions.

Questions about this item

How long does the 32 GB LPDDR5X memory last before the system starts swapping under heavy multitasking?

The 32 GB LPDDR5X capacity handles large workloads and multiple applications simultaneously, reducing the need for swap during sustained use.

Does the Intel Arc graphics run hot or loud when the laptop is used all day?

The Intel Arc graphics share the thermal design with the Core Ultra 9-288V processor, so fan noise and surface temperature rise under continuous load but remain within the laptop’s rated limits.

What port do I need on my external monitor to use the 2560 x 1600 resolution?

The laptop’s video output supports 2560 x 1600, so a monitor with a compatible DisplayPort or HDMI input will display the full resolution.
