Genuine DMD DLP Chip for Dell 1420X Projector

This genuine OEM DMD DLP chip is designed for the Dell 1420X projector. It serves as a direct replacement for a worn or failed light engine component. The part is supplied new and has been extensively tested to project a clear image with no dead pixels at least three times during validation.

Sustained Image Quality and Validation

Each chip undergoes repeated testing to verify consistent pixel performance over extended operation. The validation process checks for dead pixels across multiple cycles to ensure the projected image remains stable and artefact-free during prolonged use. This testing regime aims to confirm reliability beyond a brief initial power-on.

Compatibility and Installation Check

Confirm that your projector is the Dell 1420X model before ordering, as this chip is specific to that unit. Installation requires technical skill to disassemble the optical engine and handle the DMD without contaminating the sensor surface. No warranty coverage is implied if the part is fitted to an incompatible model or damaged during fitting.

Questions about this item

How much power does the DMD chip draw when the 1420X projector runs all day?

The DMD chip itself draws negligible power; the projector's lamp and cooling system account for virtually all daily energy use.

Which existing components must stay in place for this chip to work in my 1420X?

You keep the original lamp assembly, colour wheel, optics block and main board — only the old DMD chip is replaced.

Will the 30-day test guarantee cover dead pixels if I reuse my current lamp and optics?

Yes, the chip is tested at least three times for zero dead pixels before shipping, independent of your existing lamp or optics.
