Core Performance

This Dell 15 laptop runs on a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-1355U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads reaching 5.0 GHz turbo. The 32GB DDR4 memory and 1TB PCIe SSD support demanding multitasking and fast storage access. Windows 11 Pro and an Office 2024 license are pre-installed for immediate productivity. It suits professionals who need reliable performance in a portable form factor.

Thermals and Power

The slim chassis measures 14.11 x 9.28 x 0.75 inches and weighs 3.96 pounds, housing the 10-core processor and integrated Intel UHD Graphics. Typical office workloads run quietly with modest heat output thanks to the efficient U-series design. Battery life varies with screen brightness and active wireless connections such as Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. Heavy sustained loads will increase fan activity and surface temperature.

Display and Graphics

The 15.6-inch FHD panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution without touch input for clear text and media viewing. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles everyday video playback, web content and light creative tasks. Buyers who need discrete GPU power for 3D rendering, modern gaming or GPU-accelerated compute should consider a different system. The HDMI 1.4 port supports a single external monitor for expanded workspace.

Questions about this item

How do I add a second drive to the Dell 15 laptop, and what step is often missed?

The laptop uses a 1TB PCIe SSD; a second M.2 slot is not confirmed in the specifications, so verify the board layout before buying a drive.

Which components in the Dell 15 laptop will need replacement first?

The 32GB DDR4 memory is soldered and not upgradeable; the 1TB PCIe SSD and battery are the only user-replaceable parts.

What thermal limit appears first on the i7-1355U during long workloads?

The 10-core, 12-thread CPU can reach 5.0 GHz turbo, but the thin 0.75-inch chassis and integrated Intel UHD Graphics cause early throttling under sustained load.
