Dell 300 GB SAS Hard Drive

This new Dell 300 GB internal hard drive spins at 10 000 RPM and uses a SAS interface in a 2.5 inch form factor. It ships with a tray for direct installation in compatible drive bays. The drive is built for enterprise workloads that demand consistent throughput.

Suits servers and storage arrays needing 10K SAS

This drive suits administrators upgrading or repairing Dell PowerEdge servers and external arrays that accept 2.5 inch 10 000 RPM SAS disks. It is not suitable for systems that require a larger capacity per spindle or a different physical form factor. Buyers needing higher single-drive density should look elsewhere.

10 000 RPM SAS interface

The 10 000 RPM rotational speed combined with the SAS interface determines whether this drive matches the performance and connectivity requirements of the target array. Verify that the host controller and backplane support this speed and protocol before purchase.
