15.6-inch FHD touchscreen laptop

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen laptop powered by a 10-core Intel Core i7-1255U processor with a 4.7 GHz turbo frequency. It comes with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 2 TB NVMe solid-state drive. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed.

Who this suits and who it does not

This configuration suits professionals and students who need a responsive touchscreen, ample memory for multitasking, and a large local storage volume for files and applications. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics processor for intensive rendering or gaming should look at alternative systems.

Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics

The laptop relies on integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics built into the processor. This solution handles everyday productivity, video playback, and light creative tasks without a separate graphics card. Users needing certified workstation graphics or high-frame-rate gaming performance will need a device with discrete GPU hardware.

Questions about this item

What size M.2 NVMe drive does the 3520 chassis accept for storage upgrades?

The laptop ships with a 2TB NVMe SSD; the motherboard uses an M.2 slot that supports standard 2280 NVMe modules for future expansion.

Which screw must be removed first to reach the RAM slots on the Inspiron 3520?

Remove the nine base-cover screws, then lift the cover from the front edge; the two SODIMM slots sit under a metal shield that is held by two additional screws.

How often should the 10-core i7-1255U cooling fan and heatsink be cleaned?

Blow dust from the fan intake and exhaust vents every six months; heavy workloads at 4.7 GHz turbo generate more heat and may require quarterly cleaning.
