Storage-dense barebone

The Dell PowerEdge 3800I is a 12-bay 3.5-inch barebone server designed for storage-heavy workloads. It arrives without processors, memory or drives so integrators can populate it to exact capacity requirements.

Dual-controller resilience

A dual-control architecture provides redundant management paths for the drive enclosure. The included 600W dual power supply delivers N+1 redundancy without needing external power modules.

Twelve-bay headroom

Twelve 3.5-inch bays support high-capacity HDDs for multi-petabyte raw storage. The platform lacks CPU sockets so it cannot run applications directly and must pair with a separate compute node.
