Dell 400-AJPD 1.2TB SAS Drive

This new 1.2TB internal hard drive operates at 10000 RPM and uses a SAS interface running at 12Gb/s. It is built in a 2.5 inch form factor for Dell PowerEdge servers such as the R430, R630, R730, R730xd, T430 and T630. The drive increases system storage capacity while providing fast disk access for demanding workloads.

Server administrators needing 10K SAS storage

The drive suits administrators expanding storage in compatible 2.5 inch PowerEdge bays where 10000 RPM performance and a 12Gb/s SAS connection are required. It is not for systems that only accept 3.5 inch drives or that lack a SAS backplane. Buyers who need a larger capacity than 1.2TB must select a different model.

12Gb/s SAS interface decides fit

The single specification that determines compatibility is the 12Gb/s SAS interface; the server or controller must support this standard for the drive to function. The 2.5 inch form factor must also match the drive bay. Verify both points against the system documentation before purchase.
