Pro Max 16 workstation

The Dell Pro Max 16 MA16250 is a 16-inch mobile workstation built for professionals who need certified graphics and on-device AI acceleration in a single chassis. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, a 16-core Core Ultra 9 285H processor, 32 GB of on-board LPDDR5X memory and a 1 TB M.2 SSD. The NVIDIA RTX PRO 2000 GPU with 8 GB GDDR7 and Intel AI Boost NPU rated at 13 TOPS target content creation, engineering and AI-assisted workflows.

8 GB GDDR7 RTX PRO 2000

The dedicated NVIDIA RTX PRO 2000 with 8 GB GDDR7 is the specification that determines whether this system fits a given workload. It provides certified drivers for professional 3D, CAD and simulation applications where consumer GeForce cards are not supported. Buyers who need more video memory for large scenes or multi-GPU scaling will need a different configuration.

Sustained load with ExpressCharge

Under continuous heavy compute the 16-core CPU can reach 5.40 GHz turbo while the RTX PRO 2000 maintains clock stability through the chassis thermal design. The 120 Hz anti-glare panel at 1920 x 1200 with 500 nit brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colour remains consistent during long sessions. ExpressCharge replenishes the battery quickly between intensive periods, and Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) keeps network throughput high for cloud offload or remote rendering.

Questions about this item

What does the 5.40 GHz turbo frequency mean when the Core Ultra 9 285H is running inside this laptop?

The 5.40 GHz turbo is the maximum single-core speed the processor can reach for short bursts when thermal headroom allows; sustained multi-core clocks will be lower depending on workload and cooling.

How does the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) interface perform in practice on this system?

Wi-Fi 7 supports wider channels and lower latency than previous standards, so real-world throughput will depend on router capability, channel congestion and distance from the access point.

What physical space does the 16" 1920 x 1200 120 Hz panel need to fit or mount in a workspace?

The 16-inch anti-glare LCD with 500-nit brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colour fits the Pro Max 16 chassis; no external mounting hardware is required for the built-in display.
