1.8 TB 10000 RPM SAS drive

This new Dell enterprise hard drive delivers 1.8 TB of storage on a 2.5 inch form factor spinning at 10000 RPM. It connects through a 12 Gbps SAS interface and ships with an R Series caddy for installation in compatible bays.

Servers and arrays needing fast SAS storage

The drive suits administrators who want high spindle speed and a 12 Gbps SAS link for transactional workloads. Buyers needing larger capacity per spindle, silent operation or a different interface should evaluate other options.

12 Gbps SAS interface decides fit

The single specification that determines compatibility is the 12 Gbps SAS connection. Your controller or backplane must support this exact interface speed and the 2.5 inch form factor for the drive to function correctly.
