Alienware 15 R3 FHD Lid Assembly

This genuine Dell OEM replacement part is the 15.6 inch LCD back cover assembly for the Alienware 15 R3 laptop. It is supplied new and arrives exactly as pictured, including the wireless antenna cables and Tron LED lighting with cables attached. The assembly restores the original look and wireless function of the laptop lid.

Part number 1D998 confirms FHD compatibility

The Dell part number 1D998 identifies this cover for Alienware 15 R3 systems equipped with the FHD resolution screen. Using this specific part number ensures the mounting points, cable routing and antenna placement match the factory specification for that panel type. It will not align correctly with other screen configurations.

Requires FHD Alienware 15 R3 chassis

Installation fits the existing hinge brackets and screw posts of the Alienware 15 R3 chassis designed for the FHD display. The integrated antenna cables connect to the wireless card and the LED cables plug into the motherboard headers. Buyers with a different screen resolution or a different laptop model cannot use this assembly.
