  • Dell part number 6F1P5 confirms precise model compatibility

Genuine Dell OEM replacement lid

This is a genuine Dell OEM back cover assembly for the Alienware 15 R3 laptop with a 15.6 inch UHD display. It matches the original factory specification and carries Dell part number 6F1P5. Buyers who need a lid for a non-UHD screen or a different laptop model cannot use this part.

Passive thermal and wireless integration

The assembly includes the wireless antenna cables and Tron LED lighting with their cables already routed. No active cooling or power components are present, so thermals, noise and power draw are unchanged from the original lid. Installers who expect a fan or heatsink in the cover will not find one.

Aluminium chassis panel with integrated lighting

The cover is the structural rear panel of the laptop lid, providing the mounting points for the UHD panel hinges and the antenna cables. Day to day it protects the display electronics and displays the Alienware lighting signature. Users who require a bare panel without the LED light strips or antenna cables should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Remove the old lid, disconnect the two wireless antenna cables and the Tron LED light cables, then connect them to the new assembly before securing the hinge brackets.

Which parts of this back cover assembly may need replacement later?

The wireless antenna cables and Tron LED light cables can wear from repeated hinge movement and may require replacement if signal drops or lighting fails.

What limit appears first during sustained use of this UHD lid assembly?

The 15.6 inch UHD panel and LED lighting generate heat that can stress the antenna cables and LED wiring over long gaming sessions.
