17" Gaming Backpack for Laptops

The Alienware Horizon Commuter backpack holds laptops with screens up to 17 inches inside a dedicated compartment measuring 400 by 303 by 25 millimetres. A soft Nylex lining protects surfaces from scratches while a weather resistant shell and shockproof construction guard against daily knocks. An RFID safe top pocket keeps cards and passports secure from wireless scanning.

Who It Suits and Who Should Look Elsewhere

Commuters and students who carry a 17 inch notebook, charger and small accessories will appreciate the slim profile and padded S shaped shoulder straps with a spinal groove back panel. Buyers who need more storage for bulky gear, a dedicated hydration sleeve or a larger external pocket arrangement should consider a different pack.

Installation and Common Issues

Using the bag is straightforward: place the laptop in the padded sleeve, zip the dual mesh pockets shut and adjust the contoured straps for fit. The main zipper track can feel stiff during the first few weeks and the slim top pocket offers limited depth for thicker wallets.

Questions about this item

Does the 17-inch laptop compartment fit a 400 x 303 x 25 mm device alongside a separate slim sleeve?

The dedicated laptop compartment measures 400 x 303 x 25 mm, so any device within those dimensions fits directly against the anti-scratch Nylex lining without needing an extra sleeve.

Will the RFID-safe top pocket still block signals if I stack it against the metal handle of a rolling carry-on?

The RFID-safe top pocket is designed to shield cards and passports regardless of adjacent metal surfaces such as a rolling-bag handle.

How can I verify the weather-resistant shell is performing after the first heavy rain?

Check that water beads on the exterior fabric and that the interior Nylex lining and all zippered pockets remain completely dry.
