Alienware m15 R4 15.6" FHD gaming laptop

The Alienware m15 R4 is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i7-10870H eight-core processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU. It ships with 32GB of memory and a 256GB solid-state drive. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed on the system. The non-touch display delivers a 1920 x 1080 resolution for fast-paced play.

Sustained load on i7-10870H and RTX 3080

The eight-core Coffee Lake processor reaches a 5.0 GHz turbo frequency to maintain high frame rates during extended sessions. The dedicated RTX 3080 graphics card handles demanding titles without switching to integrated graphics. Alienware's thermal design supports the 4.65 lb chassis under continuous heavy workloads. Thunderbolt 3 and the Graphics Amplifier port allow external GPU expansion if internal headroom is reached.

256GB SSD capacity for game library

The single 256GB solid-state drive holds the operating system and a limited selection of modern games. Buyers who want a large local library without external drives will need to add storage after purchase. The MicroSD card reader and USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports provide supplementary transfer options. The laptop suits players who stream titles or rotate a few favourites at a time.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the i7-10870H and RTX 3080 get during long sessions?

The eight-core i7-10870H reaches 5.0 GHz turbo and the RTX 3080 laptop GPU is dedicated; both sit in a chassis starting at 2.11 kg with a peak height of 19.9 mm, so thermals are managed within that slim profile.
