15.6-inch 300Hz FHD gaming laptop

The Alienware m15 R4 pairs a 15.6-inch Full HD panel at 300Hz with an Intel Core i7-10870H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics. It includes 16GB of 2933MHz DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD. Connectivity uses Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650i and Bluetooth 5.1. The system ships with Windows 10 Home in a Lunar Light chassis.

Competitive gamers needing high refresh rates

The 300Hz display with 3ms response suits players who prioritise motion clarity in fast-paced titles. Buyers who want a higher-resolution panel or a larger screen should look elsewhere. Users requiring more than 16GB of memory or additional internal storage bays will need a different configuration. The laptop targets high-frame-rate 1080p gaming rather than 4K workflows.

300Hz 15.6-inch Full HD display

The screen runs at 1920 x 1080 resolution with a 300Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, 300-nit brightness and 100% sRGB coverage. This specification determines whether the system matches a buyer's need for competitive-level motion performance. If the priority is resolution over refresh rate, this panel is not the right choice.

Questions about this item

How do I upgrade the 16 GB DDR4 memory and what mistake should I avoid?

The laptop uses 2933 MHz DDR4 modules. The common error is buying faster RAM that will down-clock instead of matching the 2933 MHz spec exactly.

Which component will need replacement first after heavy gaming sessions?

The 8 GB GDDR6 video memory on the RTX 3070 is soldered and cannot be upgraded, so GPU memory capacity is the first hard limit you will hit.

What thermal limit appears first when the i7-10870H runs at 5.0 GHz boost for long periods?

The CPU will hit its thermal ceiling and throttle clocks before the 300 Hz display or Wi-Fi 6 link become bottlenecks.
