Alienware m16 R2 Ultra 7 155H RTX 4070

This gaming laptop pairs an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 8GB GDDR6 GPU. It runs Windows 11 Pro on a 16.0 inch 2560x1600 240Hz WQXGA display. The system includes 32GB DDR5 SO-DIMM memory and a 2TB RAID 0 array built from two 1TB PCIe NVMe SSDs.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Creators and competitive gamers needing high refresh rates at 1600p with Thunderbolt 4 and WiFi 7 connectivity will benefit. Buyers wanting a lighter chassis, longer unplugged runtime, or a larger screen should consider other models.

The spec that decides fit

The 240Hz 2560x1600 panel defines the visual experience; if your workflow or games target that refresh and resolution, the GPU and CPU combination is matched to drive it.

Questions about this item

Will the 16.0 inch 240Hz WQXGA panel fit in a standard 16 inch laptop sleeve?

The chassis measures 14.33 IN wide by 9.81 IN deep by .93 IN high so a sleeve sized for a typical 16 inch notebook will accommodate it.

Can I add more storage later without breaking the existing RAID 0 array?

The board uses two M.2 slots for the current 2x1TB PCIe NVMe RAID 0; adding a third drive would require breaking the array or using an external enclosure.

Does the Thunderbolt 4 port support power delivery so I can charge with a smaller adapter?

Thunderbolt 4 on this model carries data and video only; the 240W barrel adapter remains the sole charging source.
