Alienware X14 R2 2-in-1 laptop

The Alienware X14 R2 is a 14-inch 2-in-1 laptop built around a 10-core Intel Core i7-13620H processor that reaches 4.90 GHz with Turbo Boost. It ships with Windows 11 Home, 32 GB of memory and a 4 TB SSD. The QHD+ panel shows 2560 x 1600 resolution without touch input, and integrated graphics handle the display output.

Windows 11 Home and integrated graphics

Windows 11 Home provides the operating environment out of the box, while the integrated graphics chip drives the internal display and external outputs without a discrete GPU. The 4 TB SSD and 32 GB RAM are factory-installed, so no storage or memory upgrades are required for immediate use. Dolby Atmos audio and IntelliGo AI noise cancellation are included for sound processing.

Lunar Silver metal chassis at 1.91 kg

The full-metal chassis in Lunar Silver measures 0.57 in thick and weighs 1.91 kg, making it a thin 14-inch gaming design. V-rail edges allow single-finger lid opening and a comfortable palm rest, while a perimeter foot aids airflow. Rear-mounted ports reduce desk clutter, and Express Charging via Type-C ports supports flexible power options.

Questions about this item

Will the 4 TB SSD need to be replaced after heavy write cycles?

The 4 TB solid-state drive has no moving parts and is rated for typical consumer endurance; under normal gaming and workloads it should last the life of the laptop without replacement.

Does the Core i7-13620H throttle first on heat or on the 4.9 GHz turbo limit during long sessions?

The 10-core processor hits its 4.9 GHz turbo ceiling before thermal limits engage, so sustained loads run at the maximum rated frequency within the cooling design.

How loud are the fans and how hot does the chassis get when the laptop runs all day?

The thin 14.5 mm chassis uses a perimeter-foot airflow design that keeps fan noise low and surface temperatures comfortable during extended use.
